In the episode, Susan makes a decision about Mike Delfino. Meanwhile Lynette takes steps to make sure Annabel (guest-star Melinda McGraw) doesn't come between her and Tom, Bree comes to a realization about "buddy" George the pharmacist (guest-star Roger Bart), and Carlos' legal problems take a turn for the worse. Meanwhile, Gabrielle chases an elderly couple away from Wisteria Lane, and a run-in with the police for one of the Wisteria Lanes' husbands. Lastly, medical problems for one of the housewives surfaces.

CBS got solid numbers for its "Survivor: Palau" finale, but still couldn't complete with ABC's late evening juggernaut.

Overall, ABC averaged a 10.9 rating/18 share, with CBS' 10.0/16 right behind. NBC was a distant third with a 6.0/10, followed by FOX's 4.5/7 and the 1.7/3 for The WB.

ABC also scored among adults 18-49, doing a 7.2 rating in the all-important demographic. CBS was a strong second with a 6.1 rating. FOX moved up to third with a 3.5 rating, while NBC's 2.5 rating was only good for fourth. The WB trailed again with a 1.0 rating.

CBS started the night in first with a 7.9/15 for "60 Minutes." ABC's first hour of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" was second with a 6.2/12. NBC's "Dateline" was third, better than the 3.3/6 averaged by "King of the Hill" and "Malcolm in the Middle" on FOX. The WB trailed with "Charmed."

The first hour of the "Survivor" finale delivered a 10.8/17 to give 8 p.m. to CBS. ABC's "EM: HE" improved to a 10.0/16 in its second hour. FOX was up in third with a 5.4/9 for the season's final two new episodes of "The Simpsons." NBC drooped to fourth with "The Contender," still ahead of the 2.2/3 for The WB's "Charmed."

ABC charged into first at 9 p.m. with the 15.6/23 for "Desperate Housewives." CBS stayed strong with an 11.8/17 for "Survivor." NBC's "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" was third with a 7.0/10. FOX was back down in fourth with the 5.1/7 averaged by "Family Guy" and "American Dad."

"Grey's Anatomy" closed the evening for ABC with an 11.9/19, trouncing the 9.7/15 for the "Survivor" reunion on CBS. NBC's "Crossing Jordan" was a respectable third.
